OUR INNOVATION
We operate 60 recirculating water fish tanks and several fish ponds that have the capacity to produce 230,000 kg of fish annually. BARC has developed a more efficient means of increasing aquaculture production in a manner that is environmentally-friendly, sustainable, and which yields organic and delicious fish.
Our unique aquaculture management practices are innovative and sustainable in how we circulate and aerate fish tank water efficiently (using only 1/10 of the water needed in pond culture) so more fish can be raised in a smaller amount of water.
The recirculating water and operating procedures are carefully monitored to control for biosecurity and reduce the likelihood for disease among the fish.
- Fish raised using the specialized recirculating technology require a reduced amount of fish feed as they also eat organic materials such as zooplankton and phytoplankton that are growing in the recirculating water.
- The organic fish grown in our clean water aquaculture tanks are more pure, nutritious, and delicious than fish raised in pond and river water sources.
- Our model is also eco-friendly, as fish waste is handled in an environmentally-friendly manner, syphoned away to be processed in a fish waste fertilizer plant on the premises.
